As an ongoing project I have built benches in public space using barrier materials from construction sites. By transforming the omnipresent materials into a bench, they turn into a subtle invitation to sit down and take a break for a moment.

Accepted and tolerated by builders and public authorities, appreciated and used by the public. some benches remained in place for a few months or even years, while others disappeared after a couple of weeks.
